研究方向(领域):北方高寒地区的饲草作物(以紫花苜蓿为主)基因组特征和重要驯化及产量性状的分子遗传基础解析。

1)苜蓿属作物的比较基因组学研究

苜蓿属饲草作物是集驯化、选择、多倍化、环境适应等自然或人工状态下遗传改良重要饲草作物,具有重要的研究价值。苜蓿属基因组研究进展缓慢,且种间及种内不同品种基因组变异程度极大。本研究组将采用比较基因组学方法构建苜蓿属作物的泛基因组图谱,探索苜蓿属作物的驯化过程,挖掘核心驯化基因

2)产量及品质性状的分子遗传机制解析

以耐逆、耐贫瘠的牧草之王紫花苜蓿为研究材料,利用遗传筛选、多组学分析等方法挖掘影响紫花苜蓿及水稻产量、品质等重要遗传位点,系统解析调控网络,揭示调控苜蓿及水稻器官发生、种子发育、植株形态建成以及品质形成的内在机制。

3)分子设计辅助育种

基于对饲草作物进化、驯化规律和植物发育的认识,利用多组学、遗传学和基因编辑技术加速饲草作物的遗传改良;同时,挖掘野生材料基因组中的优异遗传资源,结合表型组数据与基因组数据,构建全基因组选择模型,加速紫花苜蓿高产高抗新品种的分子设计与创制。
